You will join the Strategy Division, specifically the Foresight Department, which consists of 9 people. The Strategy Division's mission is to provide insights into the company's strategic issues and to lead the Strategic Orientation process, essential for effective business management. The Foresight Department aims to shed light on the future of France's energy landscape in collaboration with other departments and public entities.
As part of its activities, the Foresight Department relies on various simulation tools to assess prospective consumption scenarios and infrastructure needs.
Your Missions
Working alongside experienced analysts from the Foresight Department and Natran's Research Division (Natran R&I), you will:
Get hands-on experience with the PYPSA simulation tool (open source) developed in Python and the multi-energy model developed by OET (Open Energy Transition) in collaboration with ENTSO-E and ENTSOG.
Make modifications for France modelisation to improve the accuracy of the energy system and infrastructure modelling.
Update the model by expanding the methane component to cover the European level, and potentially the French level (detailed model).
Conduct case studies to test the tool, particularly for applications involving optimization of investment decisions.
implement solutions for analyzing the results, building upon existing tools.
You will contribute to ongoing studies by ENTSO-E, ENTSOG, and ENNOH.
You are in the final year of engineering school or pursuing a Master's degree (M2) in the field of industry and energy.
You have
Strong programming skills, especially in Python.
Excellent analytical and synthesis abilities.
Teamwork capabilities.
Preferably, experience in the energy sector or have taken specialized energy courses.
You are
Interested in industry, energy, and the challenges of the energy transition with a European perspective.
French is not required if you have C1 level in English
